Η GTP Solutions βραβεύτηκε με το πρώτο βραβείο επιχειρηματικού σχεδίου στο 8ο Διεθνές Συνέδριο για τα Επιχειρηματικά Κεφάλαια (8th International Venture Capital Forum) η πρώτη μέρα των εργασιών του οποίου ολοκληρώθηκε στο ξενοδοχείο Μεγάλη Βρετανία της Αθήνας την Τρίτη 3 Ιουλίου 2007. Το πρώτο βραβείο απενεμήθη για το επιχειρηματικό σχέδιο της εταιρίας όσο αφορά στην υπηρεσία συγκέντρωσης και προσωποποίησης ηλεκτρονικών ειδήσεων Feeds 2.0 η οποία κλείνει ήδη ένα χρόνο επιτυχούς παρουσίας στο Διαδίκτυο μετά την επίσημη παρουσίασή της στην έκθεση Innovate!Europe τον Μάιο 2006 στην Ζαραγόσα της Ισπανίας.
Η υπηρεσία Feeds 2.0 (http://www.feeds2.com) συγκεντρώνει ειδήσεις σε μορφή RSS feeds και με βάση προηγμένους αλγόριθμους δημιουργεί μια «προσωπική εφημερίδα» σε ηλεκτρονική μορφή που περιέχει μόνο ό,τι είναι νέο και μόνο ό,τι ενδιαφέρει τον χρήστη γιατί είναι σε θέση να «μαθαίνει» τις προτιμήσεις και τις προτεραιότητες του αναγνώστη της και να φιλτράρει τις αμέτρητες πηγές πληροφοριών του Διαδικτύου μέσα από αυτές. Η επιλογή για το βραβείο του οποίου χορηγός είναι η Attica Ventures προέκυψε μετά απο τις προτάσεις των επενδυτών επιχειρηματικών κεφαλαίων (VCs) που συμμετείχαν στην εκδήλωση σε συνεργασία με την οργανωτική επιτροπή του forum και βασίστηκε στα εξής κριτήρια: - Επιχειρηματική ιδέα – Στοιχεία Καινοτομίας
- Προσόντα της ομάδας διοίκησης
- Προοπτικές αγοράς – Ανταγωνιστικό πλεονέκτημα
- Αναμενόμενα ωφέλη
- Παρουσίαση – Πληρότητα του επιχειρηματικού σχεδίου
Το βραβείο παρέλαβε ο διευθύνων σύμβουλος της εταιρίας Δρ Νικόλαος Αμπαζής από τον υπουργό Οικονομίας και Οικονομικών κ. Γιώργο Αλογοσκούφη, σε ειδική εκδήλωση στα πλαίσια του forum.

GTP Solutions was awarded the best business plan prize at the 8th International Venture Capital Forum which took place in Hotel Grande Bretagne, in Athens, on 3 & 4 July 2007. Businessmen, researchers, policy makers from Southeast Europe and East Mediterranean were invited to attend, to present their business ideas and discuss venture opportunities in dedicated bilateral meetings. The prize was awarded for the business plan of the company regarding its Feeds 2.0 service which has been in private beta for almost a year now since its successful launch at the Innovate!Europe 2006 event last May in Zaragoza. Feeds 2.0 is a Web 2.0 personalized RSS aggregator which prioritizes incoming information according to the user’s interests.
Feeds 2.0 (http://www.feeds2.com) ranks posts according to the topics a particular user likes, and brings interesting articles first, based on what it has learned about the user’s preferences. Additional features of the system include the automatic real-time clustering of similar items aggregated from different sources and a recommendation feature which takes into account what the entire community of Feeds 2.0 users are finding interesting and recommends related posts and feeds that a user might want to read or subscribe to. The "Best Business Plan Prize" winner was selected by the VCs that participated in the forum. The VCs evaluated the submitted business plans based on the following criteria: - Business idea - Innovative aspects
- Qualities of the management team
- Market potentials - Competitive advantage
- Expected returns
- Presentation - Integrity of business plan
The prize was awarded to the CEO of the company Dr Nicholas Ampazis by the Greek minister of Economy and Finance Mr George Alogoskoufis in a special ceremony within the framework of the forum.
